Leaving Paris
Leaving Paris we opted to take a ride share taxi. Sounds like a great idea, right? Never again. We shared a ride with another couple and two single people. The other couple spoke Italian as their first language and very little French. We understand very little French. The wife was bleeding profusely and uncontrollably from the nose, not a good sign, and the husband was trying to both comfort her and talk to the driver about going to a hospital. The driver insisted that the airport might be the best bet, as they have a doctor and could attend to her more immediately. We spent the entire one-hour ride to the airport with a frantic bleeding woman. The poor driver.
